UBD's Bollywood-Bytes 6-April-2012

Sridevi
15 years since her last movie, Sri is gearing up for the mother of all comebacks. It is thought that the promotion and marketing for her return to the screen in Gauri Shinde's 'English Vinglish' will be top notch. The release date is yet to be revealed but we do know that the music is composed by Amit Trivedi who gave us lovely tunes in films like 'Dev.D, No One Killed Jessica, Aisha'. Let's hope all the recent criticism doesn't affect the movie release.

Madhuri Dixit
The 'dhak dhak girl' is being very picky these days. It is almost 5 years since her last film (which also came after a 5 year wait since 'Devdas'). That means just one film in the last 10 years. However  that could be all about to change according to choreographer Remo D'Souza. The dance master who worked alongside Mads on TV show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' is said to be working on the script to a musical which he intends will be released in the 3D format. Madhuri also tweeted she has some big news coming soon so watch this space.

Karisma Kapoor
After almost a decade away, the National Award winning starlet and former Queen of B-town is back with a bang. Lolo will be seen in the upcoming 3D epic 'Dangerous Ishhq' directed by Vikram Bhatt. Karisma started her career in the early 90s along with about 160 other girls, but was one of the very few of her generation to rise to the top. She quit films to raise her two kids but was always in the spotlight, attending events and parties in tinseltown. The trailer to her new flick has been getting mixed feedback, but the diva is getting praise for her part.

Rani Mukherji
Rani is keeping her head down these days. Last year we saw her at almost every event and party in town, but it seems she is concentrating hard on her upcoming release 'Aiyaa' which is being produced by Anurag Kashyap and co-stars Prithviraj. Rani was last seen over a year ago in the hit film 'No One Killed Jessica' for which she won her 7th Filmfare Award - putting her ahead of Nutan, Kajol, Madhuri and Kareena to second place after Jaya Bachchan as the most awarded actress of all-time.

Bipasha Basu
News just in that the Bong Beauty has been signed up for 'Shootout At Wadala' alongside fellow UBD Kangna Ranaut and her ex-beau John Abraham. This is the second time Bips will work with director Sanjay Gupta - they earlier collaborated on 2010's 'Pankh'.

Priyanka Chopra
Brushing the online gossip aside, Piggy Chops is having a ball of a time. Not only does she have a musical album later in the year as well as some big releases, the former Miss World is on cloud 9 due to the feedback of her latest offering. The trailer for 'Teri Meri Kahaani' has created a significant online buzz, making it to the top 10 trends on Twitter.

Katrina Kaif
Working in a Yash Chopra directed movie is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any actress. It was a surprise when Kat was chosen as the leading lady for his upcoming untitled movie alongside Shahrukh Khan and fellow UBD Anushka Sharma. Yash-ji is known for bringing out the best in his ladies, so it is fair to say that this is Katty's biggest role yet in her 9-year career. Apart from the leaked photos, not much is known about the script at this point. The movie will be released in December.
