Shilpa Shetty gave birth to a healthy baby boy early yesterday morning. The diva's last film release The Desire was only given a limited release.
Shilpa started her career at the age of 17 with Baazigar [1993] alongside Kajol + Shah Rukh Khan. The film earned her 2 nominations: Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress + Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
She went on to star in the hit film such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari the following year. After this she starred in many lacklustre flicks.
Having re-vamped her image in 2000 - she emerged as a true diva in hits such as Dhadkan [2000], Indian [2001], Rishtey [2002] - the latter of which earned her a second Filmfare Award For Best Supporting Actress nomination.
She went on to be nominated for Best Actress at Filmfare, IIFA, Zee Cine Awards for her performance in Phir Milenge [2004].
2007 brought international recognition as he took part in the TV show Big Brother UK. This was followed by a huge item number in Dostana in 2008.
